When planning a youngsters’s party, remember the key to a successful one is for the kids to have a nice time, fun, fun! And what interprets fun better than playing party games and contests. One unique and delightful game that you can never go wrong with is the pinata! Not only does a pinata make a great party decoration, it is great entertainment too. The pinata game is a competition that simply works by first securing a pinata from the ceiling. Then, each kid is given a chance to break the pinata bank with a strong stick. For the joys of it, the kid is blindfolded and is made to turn around 2 or three times and then positioned in the direction of the pinata.

The thrill incorporates expectation on who gets to smash the pinata and release all of the goodies within. Pinatas can come in many shapes and sizes. The most simple form might be in a kind of a clay pot with candies inside but more frequently than always, we look for something fancier, the type that would indulge and pleasure the kid in each one of us. It’s best then that you find one that relates with your party theme. There are a superabundance of providers offering to make customized pinatas that suit your party wish. Think candies, chocolates, mini toys and even coins or tiny party favors. Get the inflated balloon and cover it with Paper Mache. Paper Mache can be manufactured by first mixing glue to water. Then dip the papers, which should have been cut and torn in strips measuring six inches tall and one inch in width, in the mix. Layer the paper strips on the balloon covering it but remember to leave a little space for your opening.

Let the first layer dry before setting in a second one. When dry, pop up the balloon and take it out. This may leave a hole on the space that you did not cover with mache. Cut a card in the shape of your hole and use to cover it. Seal with the sticky tape and lay layers of paper mache on it then let dry. Make holes on the side and slide in the strings to hold the pinata.

Paint your pinatas in different colors with crayons and voila, you’re prepared for your party!

The Perfect Party:  A Theme, Party Favors, and Friends!

Every child wants his or her party to be special. A themed party is the perfect place to start. Does your child have a favorite cartoon character? Your child probably already has a very strong opinion about his party theme. Unless the request is inappropriate or unreasonable, consider letting your child pick the theme. Having a say in the party planning will make your child feel just a little more special. If your child is too young, or does not have an idea, there are many familiar cartoon characters from which to choose. Franklin, a young turtle, is a favorite among many kindergartners. If you choose a well-known figure, you will not have any difficulty finding fun favors for the party.

Party favors can really tie a theme together. With themed place-settings, balloons, and noisemakers, your party will be memorable and fun! Inexpensive goodie bags sent home with each child will keep your child’s friends talking about the party, long after it is over!
If you are worried about cost, don’t be. Parties are for friends to get together! Many parents choose not to have birthday parties for their children, so that other children are not obligated to purchase gifts they may not be able to afford. But you don’t need a birthday to have a party! Consider a back-to-school themed party! Many cartoons, such as Franklin, have special back-to-school episodes. Serve snacks, watch this cartoon episode, and send each child home with an inexpensive goodie bag. You will not spend a lot of money, but your child and his friends will have a lot of fun!
